i can't believe how much the little one has developed already. it gave me chills to look at the photo. kinda scary, that's a little person there, we don't know who he/she is yet. but we'll find out! just don't name it Jemima or Shananay. Instead, I think it should be Two-Sway!! Good for a boy or girl.
Thanks Wes! I was worried for awhile that the child might not be mine (because of Rachel's jokes about the milkman) but after seeing the lil' wippersnapper it's obviously mine. If it's a girl we are settled on Shanequa if it's a boy it will be Gandalf which must be said in a whiny tone.
If we ever have a girl, which now maybe Wes will believe is possible now that we know that his brother's first child was a daughter, we would like to name her Shaniqua.
That way when she goes to kindergarten and the teacher calls roll and says "Shaniqua Smith", she will be very confused by the little white girl saying "Here!"
We have a name that tops "Shaniqua." One of the kids that comes to the camp that Rachel directs has the name "Psyche." It's pronounced see-cha. And I guess themom got a little testy when they asked her how her daughter's name was pronouned. The best part is that the girl is white.
